Dr. Angie and Dr. Nellie have a rotation of animal care facilities such as humane societies and shelters that they travel to on a weekly basis. These locations include Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Baldwin, Ashland, Ladysmith, Park Falls, and Cumberland.
Most clinics take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
These Purple Cat clinics are scheduled up to two months in advance. Each clinic accepts 30-50 cats for spay/neuter services. We do provide Rabies and 3-way vaccines for cats that are having surgery. We do not perform routine health exams, flea/tick treatments, nail trims, or microchips at this time.
Most clinics have you bring your cat in the morning between 8:00 am-9:00 am. Early and late drop off time can be arranged in exceptional circumstances but is not the norm. Your cat will wait in line for surgery and will be ready to go home in the mid to late afternoon.
All cats get a brief pre-surgical exam, full anesthesia, multimodal pain management, and sterile high-quality surgery.
There are NO income requirements to use our surgery services. We just want all cats to get spayed and neutered which ultimately saves lives.
Previously, we have asked that you contact the shelter to schedule. However, as part of the transition to on-line scheduling, we are currently asking that you TEXT the Purple Cat Vet phone number for scheduling. Due to the high volume of inquiries, we are unlikely to return voice messages.
To schedule, TEXT 715-419-4557. In the text message, give your first and last name, location of clinic you want (Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Ladysmith, Park Falls, Ashland, Baldwin, Cumberland), number of cats, and their genders. If you have a preferred day of the week, please include that.
