Purple Cat performs spay and neuter surgeries on healthy cats and kittens ages 6 months to 7 years.
The cost of surgery includes the surgical-specific exam, anesthesia, surgery, and long-acting injectable pain medication. For Farm/Feral/Colony cats, the cost of surgery also includes the Rabies and Distemper vaccinations and MANDATORY EAR TIP. *Important: For Farm/Feral/Colony cats, please include sex of cats in the “order notes/additional information” section of the Check Out page. For pet cats (not getting ear tip) booster vaccinations can be added to the order the day of your appointment and cannot be paid by credit card.
KITTENS (AGE 6 -12 MONTHS) MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED PRIOR TO SURGERY-SEE FAQ PAGE ON WEBSITE FOR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS. ADULT CATS (OVER 12 MONTHS) ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE THEIR ONE YEAR BOOSTER VACCINE AT LEAST 3 WEEKS BEFORE THEIR SURGERY APPOINTMENT. ONLY FERAL CATS THAT CANNOT BE HANDLED ARE EXEMPT. This vaccine protects against three very common viruses (herpes, calici, panleukopenia) that cause symptoms ranging from upper respiratory infection to vomiting/diarrhea and very sadly to death. These viruses are found everywhere in the environment – they are outside your home and sometimes can be tracked into your home. We have made this a requirement due to the increase number of cases this year.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations done less than 48 hours prior to the morning appointment time will forfeit a $25 cancellation fee PER SURGERY. Cancellations done more than 48 hours in advance will forfeit a $5 cancellation fee PER SURGERY. Please plan to secure your cat(s) in live traps or house several days before your scheduled appointment in order to avoid cancellation fees.
